Big Rigs Go Green

Daimer introduces the world press to its new line of super clean natural gas fueled trucks.

The Challenge:
Green is the color of tomorrow's truck fleets. But Daimler can't wait for tomorrow. Daimler prides itself as the industry's leader. That's why it was so important to make sure the world's top industry press understood the headline value of their new line of clean burning natural gas fueled trucks.

The Solution:
Henry V converted a five acre lot in the center of Long Beach's largest container shipping yard into a showcase for clean air technology. The press event featured a fleet of LNG trucks for ride-n-drives, a display of clean burning EPA 2010 emission trucks and expert speakers on the health and community issues surrounding clean air initiatives. The event ended with Daimler's top management team outlining plans for future products and reinforcing their commitment to clean air technology.

The Results:
Message received! More than 150 trucking industry trade press, Port Authority personnel and government officials left convinced that Daimler was committed to engineering clean air products. The press coverage exceeded Daimler's expectations with extensive national trade articles, TV coverage and local press. What's more, Events Magazine was so impressed with the event they awarded Henry V a 2009 Corporate Event GOLD Award. Not bad!

Incredible event. All of our executives are extremely pleased with the outcome!— Doris Shantz, Manager, Executive Meetings and Events Sales, Daimer
