HENRY V EXPANDS STAFF FOR BUSINESS GROWTH

New Hires and Tenants Add Top Talent at Leading Experiential Marketing Firm

February 24, 2010 (Portland, OR) – Henry V, the Northwest’s largest and most experienced live events and experience marketing agency, has hired several new staff members in recent months, expanding its talent force and skill sets to better serve clients in 2010 and beyond.

The additions reflect Henry V’s continued revenue growth and ongoing optimism among its major clients about current economic conditions and the relative value of face-to-face interactions as a way to foster emotional brand connections with key audiences.

“Savvy companies recognize the power of live events to help them forge stronger relationships with employees, business partners and the public,” said Katja Asaro, managing director for sales at Henry V. “We felt the time was right to grow our team in order to continue delivering the most creative and innovative experiences possible.”

The new hires since December 2009 include:

  • Annie Barker, Account Manager, spent six years in New York most recently at Momentum Worldwide as an account manager on the American Express OPEN account. Previously, she worked as the promotions manager at the precursor to McFadden Performing Arts Media and has experience managing live events, print and online marketing campaigns.
  • Corey Grice, Communications Director, is a content strategy consultant with more than 12 years of experience as a news journalist, PR professional and corporate copywriter. Corey is an award-winning blogger and has been widely published. He previously coordinated event content, wrote executive speeches and managed rehearsals for Columbia Sportswear.
  • Tim Neill, Sales Manager for AV Rental Services, has more than 25 years experience providing audiovisual solutions for corporate and non-profit clients, most recently as Technical Production Manager for Opus Solutions. Tim is highly resourceful, detailed and analytical, delivering high-quality planning and execution of comprehensive audiovisual services to meet client goals
  • Joanna Merchant, Assistant Producer, previously worked as the event and marketing coordinator for Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier in Southern California. She has five years of experience working with a wide range of clients from drift car racing and energy drinks to the Special Olympics and the UCLA Medical Center.
  • Jeff Bement, Warehouse Manager, has 27 years’ experience in the entertainment industry, most recently as a warehouse equipment coordinator at Hollywood Lighting in Portland. Jeff’s career started at Bill Scream Music, as an award-winning recording engineer with clients such as Fred Meyer and Meier & Frank.
  • Hunter Petterson, Production Assistant, has a degree in marketing from the University of Portland and coordinates client projects including Tillamook Cheese’s Loaf Love Tour.
  • Whitney Sherritt, Account Coordinator, is a photographer, and previously worked in large-sale wedding productions. Her undergraduate degree is in Business, Sociology and Psychology and she is finishing her Masters in Fine Arts Photography.


In addition, Henry V has partnered with Dialsmith, an innovative audience engagement solution provider, to promote instant interaction and gain insights from live event audiences. Dialsmith is a new tenant in Henry V’s state-of-the-art headquarters and 20,000-square foot warehouse storage facility. The former dairy is LEED Silver Certified by the U.S. Green Building Council as an environmentally friendly building and is located in North Portland’s Piedmont District, an emerging creative community and urban growth area.

With new talent and technologies, Henry V is set up to successfully expand its capabilities, which already include the largest consumer tour in the company’s 30-year history and as well as multi-venue, multi-day events for business and consumers.
